Need long weekend plans? I got you!

When there's a long weekend during the summer, the last thing you want to do is spend it inside doom scrolling. Here are a few different ways you can spend your long weekend in the Tri-Cities!

The Slow Weekend

If you’re looking for slow mornings and scenic views, then this is the guide for you.

Day 1

Morning
Start with a coffee and a delicious pastry from Casa Del Pane Bakery & Deli, known for its selection of delicious baked goods. Afterward, stroll through the path and end up in Old Orchard Park. If you’re feeling brave, go for a refreshing cold dip in the beach
Afternoon
One thing Port Moody is famous for is the lineup of food trucks it gets every week! For lunch, treat yourself to one of (or all 😜) of the food trucks and have a picnic, enjoying the scenery and the sun at Rocky Point Park.
Evening
End the day by trying one of the incredible cocktails from Sweet Talk, a cafe & doughnut shop that turns into a cocktail bar over the weekends.

Once you’ve opened up your appetite, enjoy delicious tacos from their neighbour, Taps & Tacos. After dinner, either walk up to Vashti Rose for interesting and delicious ice cream flavours, or walk back down to Rocky Point Park for a Port Moody classic, ice cream from Rocky Point Ice Cream

Day 2

Morning
If you’re willing to brave the line-up, head on over to Cascadia Bakery for another delicious pastry. Note: they have no to-go cups, so bring your own.

Another nearby cafe is Vancouver Honey Cafe. They have a literal wall full of honey with amazing drinks and pastries!

Once you’re satisfied with breakfast, head to the Port Moody Arts Centre, where you can walk through the gallery or shop at Blackberry Gift Shop to support local artists.

End the night on a good note by grabbing beers from one of the local breweries, your favorite food, and head over to White Pine Beach to end the day with a sunset and a swim.
