The patios to hit up this summer

Going patio hopping is basically on everyone's list this summer. Here's a guide to some of the best patios in the area!

Port Moody

Outpost

Situated next to the Söenhouse sales centre, Outpost has a cozy patio out back, strung with twinkle lights. They serve some of the best coffee in town, plus a great selection of alcoholic drinks and tasty breakfast and lunch options. As a side note, their sales centre smells amazing 😅

Parkside Brewery

Parkside now has two patio options (it’s been a while… we know)! The new side patio opened recently. It's spacious, covered, and perfect for year-round drinking. The front patio is great for people (and car) watching, is dog-friendly, and even has a view of the water!

Float 30

I know, I know, everyone knows about this! Although the Float 30 patio is technically waterfront (there’s a parking lot between you and the view), you still get a great view of the water, and you get to enjoy it with their delicious food!

Yellow Dog Brewing

Another oldie, but still a good one! Yellow Dog’s patio is tucked around the back, and while the occasional passing train might interrupt your convo (just one of those charming local quirks), the space is sunny, spacious, and relaxed. I’ve even seen families bring picnic blankets to lounge on the grass!

Port Coquitlam

Tinhouse Brewing

Ok, I know, the actual patio doesn’t have a view of the water, but it is close enough to the river so it counts! Located just off the trail and close to the Pitt River, it gives easy access to enjoy the views of the river, especially on a good day!

Gillnetter Pub

If you’re looking for a nice patio with stunning views, then this is the one! Overlooking where the Pitt River meets the Fraser River, this patio has a nice blend of covered and open-air sections, with outdoor fire pits to help you enjoy the scenery year-round.

Orrange Kitchen + Bar

While the view isn’t much (you’ll be looking out over a parking lot), the Orrange patio is weather-ready and soaks up tons of sunshine on a good day! It’s spacious, laid-back, and a solid spot for catching up over drinks or enjoying their hearty comfort food outdoors.

Patina Brewing

A dog-friendly outdoor patio? Yes, please! This patio offers plenty of outdoor tables and is perfect for relaxed and casual days.

Coquitlam

Me-n-Eds Coquitlam

My first time at Me-n-Eds, I thought, “Wow, their patio is adorable!” Tucked in the back and strung with twinkle lights, it has a cozy, relaxed vibe, perfect for evening hangouts.

Mariner Brewing

They’ve got not one, but two patios! The front patio is covered, strung with twinkle lights, and equipped with small fire pits and heat lamps, perfect year-round. But the real gem is the back patio (!!). Designed like a beer garden, it’s spacious and super relaxed. It’s the ideal spot to kick back with a pint, especially after a walk on the nearby trail.

Pasta Polo

This cozy side patio, tucked right next to a row of leafy plants, is perfect for relaxed meals, ideal for enjoying their delicious pasta and a bottle of wine in a quiet, garden-like setting.

Jess’ Fine

Previously Fairways Grill & Patio, this patio is nestled in the GreenTee Country Club Westwood Plateau and offers panoramic views of the Lower Mainland, including glimpses of Vancouver Island on clear days.

John B Pub

A beloved Coquitlam institution since 1978, the patio is covered with greenery and is perfect for enjoying live music, watching sports on multiple screens, or simply relaxing with friends.
